Interesting Links

Don't know if any of you will find these links interesting, but here's some cool stuff.

Paul Languedoc, master luthier's website and online store. These guitars are works of art, they better be at $10,000 each. He makes them out of all sustainably harvested European woods. They are inspired by the Fender Starcaster,a 70's era fender, and archtop jazz guitars. The inside of the body is all hollow to give them a more organic sound and produce TONS of feedback, which when controlled correctly can sound quite nice. Oh yes, owning one of these does NOT make you a rock star.

Best coffeeshop in the world as far as I'm concerned. I prepared thier coffee for years, and what they are doing there makes treats coffee as a culinary art. Fuck starbucks.

The Commitment to Keep Music Evil, and Homepage of the Brian Jonestown Massacre. If you havent heard these guys, they rock. They all think they live in the 60's. Check out the documentary about them and friends/bandmates/arch-enemies the Dandy Warhols.
Analogman modifies guitar effect equipment, and also constructs remakes of vintage analog pedals. His stuff sounds REAL good, and his been used by TONS of famous players.

http://www.vicemagazine.com/
My favorite magazine which I cannot find on a damn shelf in this city. Gets a bad rap as the "Hipster" magazine, but covers every aspect of modern culture; Music, Art, Film, Drugs, Sex, Fashion, Politics etc. Super raunchy, no holds barred. Good reading.

Hate fast food? Try slow food.
